Today, July 28, marks the start of dpaqphotography.com. I want to thank all of you for your support and making this venture possible.
The kick-off to my "Kids in Motion" Project was this weekend.. Thanks to the Parents who have participated and a thanks in advance to the kids who allow me in their world for a minute.

it's time i begin to get more serious about this hobby that i'm loving more and more. I've been batting around ideas in my own head about what i want to work on first.
and the more and more i think about it, the more i want to add on to my portfolio shots of kids..
you know what I love about the idea? kids are the easiest to catch in the moment.. they have no inhibitions due to their innocence, and they're the best candid subjects.
Concept:
so the concept is simple.. what do your kids do for fun? do they play sports, or play an instrument, or enjoy running around in the dirt, or do they do nothing..
When:
i'd like to start this project within a week and let it run for a little bit...
Who:
Whoever responds to this email with interest..
How:
No studio.. we're gonna take these pics in their element
The best news:
Since this is my project, I'm not asking for anything but your cooperation.
What do you got to lose? I'll need a half an hour or so with each family.. if you have more than one child in that age range in your family.. i'd be willing to shoot them all.

Took the trip up the 99 to Stockton to visit with one of closest friends Michael and his wife Jocelyn, and witness the Christening of their daughter Gabriella.
It was great to see my old friends from the bay area and to be present as a new addition to their family was baptized in the eyes of God.

Ventured Out to Margarita Monday's yesterday to meet up with some friends. $2 Margaritas, and half priced appetizers, you really can't go wrong. After a short night of consumption, we paid our bill and headed out the door. Only to have the lights and electricity shut off at the joint. Man, if we only stayed 10 min longer, we might have been able to skip out on paying the bill like the rest of the patrons there.
I might start puttin the pics in this new gallery. Still deciding on whether or not to make the investment.. we'll see.
A great event is put together at Roeding Park once a month to highlight and showcase the hip hop scene here in Fresno. So Sal, owner of Clubflys.com, and I, headed out to see what we've been missing. We heard there have been two already this summer and we wanted to be in attendance for this one.

Thanks to the efforts of Chris at LocalHypeOnline.com, I had the chance to shoot at the Tachi Palace for an MMA event: PFC 3: "Step Up". Here is just a small sample of pics, some of my favorites from that night.
